About the Artist

Hello, welcome to a collected gallery of my creative process. My name is Jordan Vanas-Peterson and I am an interdisciplinary artist currently studying Illustration at Kalamazoo Valley Community College. I have more experience with traditional art (e.g., oil painting, 3D collaging, sculpting, charcoal, and figure drawing) and am expanding my skills into digital artwork. I am an emerging artist and student working towards an Associates Degree in Illustration and already completed my Illustration certificate.  

 

When I'm not working on art, I enjoy spending time outside, photography and reading. These interests tend to become references and inspiration for further art projects. I have been lightening and coloring my hair for over a decade as another avenue of expression. It's a great conversation starter and can be a gateway to discuss art projects or commissions.
